HARVEST CELEBRATION

Harvest Celebration,  This saturday at 10:00 for worship stay for the fun, food, many activities, displays, and combine rides.  Weather forecast, sunny and 70's.
Local yield reports have soybeans 60-70 bu. per acre thanks to no insect or plant health problems.  The corn however is not as good, water reduced nitrogen uptake, high temps reduced pollenation, some fields decimated with goss's wilt (a bacterial infection of the corn plant).  Depending on the field, variety, or planting date yields are 230 bu. per acre to less than 80.  Harvest pressure and the forecast of larger end stocks of grains has caused markets to drop sharply.  Feed inputs have not seen as much price decline as processors are waiting to see if there is some recovery.
